Plot
Candice is a famous Hollywood actress. Her heart is darkened by a shadow, and she cannot trust men. Especially attractive, self-confident ones. Like Trent, the new confidant of her childhood friend Lilian. Trent is also an actor, and he too is forced to live with a shadow that prevents him from falling in love. When Lilian manages to arrange an evening out to bring them together, a strong attraction immediately arises between Candice and Trent. Unfortunately, however, a misunderstanding ruins everything and the two find themselves hating each other. However, attraction is more powerful than hatred, and on a snowy night the irreparable happens. Although they both agree that it cannot work between them, they cannot resist each other, so they decide to make a special arrangement. Basic condition: Lilian must never know. But the shadows of the past are always around the corner. Thus, what started as a game becomes something much more complicated. And afterwards, nothing will ever be the same.

Some interesting facts from the author
I started writing "L'Ombra della Neve", the Italian version of “The Shadow of the Snow”, in 2013, almost for fun. I was convinced that inspiration would soon leave me, instead the story and characters took a definite direction from the very beginning, and after exactly 3 years I realized that I had reached the fateful word “end.”
So, I decided to submit this story to the public's judgment.
Initially I planned to release it in one volume, but then I judged it to be too long, so I broke it into two and gave the second part the title “Anime Gemelle” (Soul Mates).
To my great delight, both books were read by many people and I received a lot of positive comments. However, some people confessed to me that they found the second part much smoother in terms of narrative, and therefore more engaging. So, I picked up the first volume again, re-read it with one eye as objective as possible, and decided to rewrite it. From this hard work, the second edition was born: same story, same characters, but completely different narrative style. And judging by the new comments sent to me, I can say that it was worth it!
But the adventure did not end there!
In early 2025, the English edition of the first volume, "The Shadow of the Snow", was published.
I pondered for a long time before deciding whether or not to take this important step, but in the end the desire to hear Candice and Trent speak in their native language won out!
